This is a page dedicated to my redundant playback system. The rack has two Intel Mac Minis (Intel Core2 Duo) with two MOTU 828mk3s as sound cards controlled using the Midi Solutions F8 Footswitch controller. It is designed for redundancy with the use of Qlab show control software primarily in mind. I have built an 8 way analogue audio switchover and control buttons to make operation of Qlab efficient and redundant during show conditions. The system has already been used on some professional productions with excellent performance reported.
